The original of this photo was taken inside the Las Vegas Venetian! I love this place – they have done such an amazing job with the architecture that you actually feel as if you are actually touring Venice. The idea behind this creative work was to use the history brush and make a photograph look more like a painting. This was done a lot in the early stages of photography as the art of a photograph was rejected by society. Photographers started to take their photos and then alter them so that they looked more like paintings than a photograph.
Applying creative Photoshop filters through various “History States,” I would use the History Brush to bring back certain elements and effects. To help finish the pictorial, I would use the brush tool with a low opacity and flow to further blur and blend filter effects. While you get the general idea of what is in the painting, you do not see recognize finer details of the original photograph.
